Grantmaking Convening Communication

Research & Publications

In addition to our work as a grantmaker and convener, the FFC provides publicly accessible information resources, by directing and sponsoring work in selected research areas that advance the knowledge, practice and understanding of the folk culture field. Such research may take place in the context of an FFC program assessment, the results of which are then shared with the public through print distribution and our website. In other cases, research may be conducted along lines of inquiry that are independent of FFC program assessments. Across both types of work, research that we sponsor or conduct is highly likely to inform the design of future grantmaking programs at the FFC.
